Unfortunately, it did not take her very long to discover that the care Aunt Ruth and Nanny were receiving in the personal care facility was disheartening. It was at this time that my mother and father made the decision to bring Aunt Ruth and Nanny ‘home’ to live in their home and out of that environment. As a result, they decided that if they couldn’t find a facility that matched up to their standards, there surely were other families in Lancaster County that were facing the same challenge.

The facility has improved very much since I last visited in 2014. The staff is wonderful and friendly and very helpful as well. Only problem I had was just the color I think it can be improved but other than that i give it an A. Country Health Nursing Home in Gifford, Illinois is one of senior living communities in the area.
For a person who self manages and can identify their needs to staff and benefits by not being alone, the stimulation has been great. However, she had a fall and GI issues and the individualized bed side care needed has not stepped up. The visiting physician program is hard to get a hold of and we will be moving as necessary. Nursing homes provide short-and long-term care for seniors who have physical or mental health conditions that require 24-hour nursing and personal care.

I have visited this facility and have found the nursing department very unorganized and they neglect the needs of the residents. Higher staffing levels in a nursing home may mean better quality care for residents.
This facility really helped my Mother get in here and even though they couldn’t get her a room with a window, they are willing to let her move to one when it’s available. For the activities, they offer things like bingo, field trips, and games. My mom likes the food and I think it looks good and nutritious.

I have been searching for an assisted living home for my mother for a couple weeks now, and I have to say that it is sometimes hard to schedule tours around everyone else's schedules. I love that when I drove by Country View they had a sign out that allows walk-in tours. By walking into the facility unexpectedly, the staff was so nice and welcoming. It only took about 2 minutes until someone was available to show me around.
